Overview: Mixed-use development project in Santa Cruz, California, represents a thoughtful approach to urban planning, combining residential, commercial, and assisted living components to create a dynamic and inclusive community environment. The project's design prioritizes livability, accessibility, and sustainability, aiming to enhance the quality of life for residents while contributing positively to the surrounding neighborhood.

Building A: Assisted Living

Units: 131 units

Type: Accommodation Assisting and Memory Care

Description: This building is designed for assisted living, providing specialized care for individuals who may require assistance with daily living activities. It includes accommodation assisting and memory care units.


Building B: Dwelling Units

Units: 40 units

Type: Mixed layouts of studio, one, and two-bedroom units

Description: This building consists of dwelling units with a mix of studio, one, and two-bedroom layouts. It caters to residents seeking traditional living spaces.


Building C: Mixed-Use Retail/Restaurant

Commercial Space: 19,000 sq. ft.

Levels: Ground, First through Third

Dwelling Units: 63 units

Description: Building C is a mixed-use structure with commercial space (retail/restaurant) on the ground level, providing amenities for both residents and the surrounding community. The upper levels house dwelling units, totaling 63.


Building D: Dwelling Units

Units: 58 units

Type: Mixed layouts of studio, one, and two-bedroom units



Amenities: Outdoor amenities such as landscaped areas, walking paths, seating areas, and possibly recreational facilities like a community garden or outdoor fitness areas. Promote an active lifestyle for residents.



The project includes both underground and surface parking for residents and visitors. The underground parking structure provides 285 stalls, and surface parking has 60 stalls for both commercial and residential use.

This mixed-use project, incorporating assisted living facilities, traditional dwelling units, retail/restaurant spaces, and adequate parking facilities. The combination of residential and commercial elements suggests a community-oriented approach, providing convenience and amenities for both residents and the local community.
